I have to count my blessings- the first one being health. I have never been one to stop when sick. As a mom, you just keep going, sick or not. Lisa and I always tease each other that our husbands are so different. When they are sick, they get free time to recuperate. When we are sick, that doesn't seem to happen. However, this sickness knocked me for a loop. It made me realize how blessed I have been to have great health. I have felt so inadequate not being able to take care of my family. I got a neighbor girl to come over yesterday morning and babysit the kids outside. When it was time for lunch, she left; I fed the kids, and then put Sadie to bed. Meanwhile, I had been in bed all day. When she woke up, I still couldn't function, so I called my mother-in-law, and she came over and picked up the two little ones. What a huge help! Cobe is at the age where he is totally self-sufficient, so he stayed here to play with his friends, answer the phone for me and "check" on me every once in awhile. He is such a great kid. So even though my headache still lingers, I am trying to stay on top of it by never letting the Tylenol wear off. I no longer have a fever, so I do think I am getting better.
Back to the title of this post... Ryan has never called Sadie by her real name. He goes in spurts calling her different nicknames. The boys and I mainly call her Sis or Sissy. Ryan however, has called her S-Dog, Doggie, Sadie-dog, Dolly, Dollar, Dollar bill, and maybe some others that I am now forgetting. His latest is Collar bone. I have no idea why. She knows it is her name though. Cracks me up!
Unfortunately, I think we are skipping church. I am not feeling the greatest and our church is only having one service today- in the sanctuary. I am sure we would not make it through the first 5 minutes without Sadie causing a ruckus and having to get up and walk out anyway. So I think instead we will have some family bonding time at home. Ryan and the boys have all of his baseball cards spread out from his childhood, and they are putting them in protective plastic sleeves. The boys think it is the coolest! They have just expanded their desire from just Pokemon cards to include baseball and football cards. Sadie thinks she is queen bee because she is digging in the hall closet and no one has stopped her yet. She is trying on all of the winter hats. She knows she doesn't usually get away with making a mess, but she is having too much fun for me to stop her. It will be worth cleaning up later. :-) She is trying to put on 3 hats at once. Funny girl!
I am surrounded by blessings.

I'm glad you are feeling a litter better at least! How fun that the boys are doing cards together, Matt and Landon do that quite a bit now, although Landon has never gotten into Pokemon cards, but is overwhelming us all with sports cards! Good for you and Sadie having fun... sometimes we just have to let them go!
You definitely are surrounded by love. Sounds like a great family morning. I, too, am happy you're feeling a bit better. It is rough being mom & being sick. I'll let you know on Crane's - it will probably be an evening. Don't feel too bad about skipping church - we did the same this morning, too. TTYS
Collar Bone--that cracks me up!! Where does a nickname like that even come from??? ROFL!!! What makes it even more funny is that she responds to it. LOL :)Too cute!!
I hope you start feeling 100% soon girl! Take it easy. :)
