Busy Day Yesterday

After getting Cobe off to school, I got ready and left for work myself. I had to make a few stops and do a few things at work before being ready. I enjoyed meeting my kids. My 5th hour only has 18 kids and 2 were absent, and they seem very sweet. My 6th hour has 26 kids in it and they were all there, and a couple of boys seem like they are going to be a handful. So I have to mentally prepare to go in today and deal with that class. I am sure we'll iron everything out and once I get to know them better, all will go smoothly. I got home, Ryan left to go work out, and Cobe got off the bus. He had a great day- loves his teacher, loves being back with his friends, and of course, once again, his highlight is playing soccer at recess. What a little boy! Ryan came home, we loaded up and hit our Tuesday night hang out once again- Logan's. A lot of teacher's had the same idea- we saw quite a few taking advantage of not cooking on the first day back. We went to Target to return some clothes that didn't fit the boys, and ended up spending $100 more on more clothes. We went to Home Depot and purchased a For Sale sign because as of today, our house is no longer on the market. We are slashing the price and selling it ourselves. We'll see how that goes. Ryan and I made muffins and cleaned up some for our closing this morning on our cottage. YAY! We no longer own it as of 9:30 this morning. The paperwork is signed and the check is in our possession! The realtor and title company guy were here all of 7 minutes or so. Quick and easy! I am sure we will miss the place in some ways, but at least we have a lot of great memories to cherish. We already have a family trip planned to Mackinac in Oct. that we couldn't have taken if we still owned it, so I am sure we won't have any regrets. We are going to surprise the kids with a trip to Great Wolf Lodge as well this fall/early winter for their joint birthday party and I know we couldn't have done that either. I am looking forward to our favorite fall activities: football games, soccer games, Crane's orchards, visit from Nana and Papa, etc. Now if the weather would just cool off some- really, 90 degrees is too hot for me at this point in the year!!!!!! Off to fix lunch for the munchkins!

Hope your day goes better today! Good luck with the sale of your house, if you figure out any great tricks that you want to share let me know... we are in two totally different price markets so no competition here! I am not a big fan of fall (mostly b/c it's followed by Winter), but I can say I look forward to watching football games (Landon's at least), Cranes is definately a top fav this time of year too, and cool nights with campfires! Talk soon!

Yeah!!! Congrats on the sale of the cottage - officially!!! It is nice to have a few vacations to look forward too - isn't it?! We should have just given you our sign - but then again - the sign might be bad luck! I don't blame you for trying by owner - we had better luck that way - and thru the winter it is the way to go! Good luck!
