I cleaned my house today as well as baked and cooked. So I feel pretty good about not wasting the day. I washed rugs, did all the laundry, dusted, vacuumed, cleaned 3 bathrooms, took out garbage, cleaned the countertops and the kitchen sink. Ryan can clean the tubs (he does a much better job than me!) tomorrow, and I'll feel like my whole house is clean. Until tomorrow when our boots track in dirty snow and grit again. Or until little boys drip toothpaste on their counters and sink. Or until they dribble on the potty. Or until they eat and drop crumbs. Or until a little girl colors on the tables and walls. And then I could start all over again. But that's okay. I definitely don't live for a clean house- I live for the happiness of my kids and family, so even after all of my hard work, I would rather have 3 kids who make a mess than a neat house any day. Although it would be nice if someone would invent something to keep my house clean for a few days anyway. :-)
Brooks and I spent some time in the kitchen today. Sadie napped from 12-3 and Cobe went to the Medendorps from 12-5:30 (Thanks Lisa!), so Brooks and I had some good one-on-one time. We made peanut butter/hershey kiss cookies, chocolate cupcakes with rainbow chip frosting, and we made a Sloppy Joe casserole. He loves to help in the kitchen, and usually I'm too rushed to let him, so it was nice that we had nothing all day so he could help me. He is such a sweet kid and really easy to please. When I was dusting his bedroom, he asked me, "Whatcha doing Mom?" I told him I was dusting. He said, "Thanks for doing that Mom." Melt my heart. I actually felt appreciated for doing housework. At least there is one in the bunch... :-)
As I was on my cleaning binge, I found some things stashed away that I would like to get rid of. So if you are reading this and want any of these items, please comment, and they are yours free of charge.
1. Baby wipe warmer- white- works great
2. Potty training potty (sits on floor)
3. Lots of picture frames- great condition- most are either silver or metal (brushed nickel color or goldish color)- all sizes from 2x3 to 8x10's
4. Navy ceramic lamp with a navy lampshade that has gold stars sporadically spread around it
5. TONS of baby toys (any first time moms out there? you would be set with toys- could be for a girl or boy)- in great shape
I am starting to go through all of our clutter, so I will be listing things as I run across them that I don't want to hang on to until we have a garage sale. Please don't be shy- claim away!

Can't take anything off your hands... I have way to much clutter of my own! Nice that yo got to spend time with Brooks today, one on one time is always good!
If no one wants the wipe warmer, I'll take it. I have always felt bad when the new babies come home and they feel those cold wipes on their bum. LOL
I'll put my name on some of the 2 x 3 pic frames - you know I am always looking for those for my little mantle! You will know which ones might work for me!
Hey - if you're giving I'll take an 8x10. What kind of baby toys? feeling kinda greedy. :) if school is closed tomorrow call me and let me know if you still want me to drop Presley off tomorrow. another big storm heading this way tonight. let me know.
Hey, if you can't get rid of stuff you can always try freecycle... I'll email you the link when I find it later. I have gotten rid of so much little stuff on there... people will pick up ANYTHING from furniture to broken cars all the way down to plastic grocery bags. One mans junk is another mans treasure!
