Not much new for today

Yesterday ended up being a low-key day. I had the morning to myself. Sadie slept from 10:30 until about 2:45 so she was in a much better mood when she woke up. Cobe had a blast with Dimitri at the apple orchard then went back to his house to play. Brooks played with Jake next door for awhile. It was a good day to be home and not have plans. I picked up Cobe and Dimitri around 5:00 and they came here for awhile. I made a hodge-podge dinner and then ran to the hospital to see baby Gracyn. She is adorable! Amanda was doing great and was up and around like she hadn't just given birth. Braelyn and Selah were both there and B was proud as punch of her new baby sister. She held her for awhile and told me all about her. So cute! Brooks went with me and he had all sorts of "where do babies come from" questions. Not ready to answer those yet! I said that they come from God and he insists that God will give us another one. Hmmm... not medically possible, but he wasn't taking no for an answer. He said that he needs someone to play with when Cobe is playing with Sadie. :-) Maybe a hermit crab???? Haha

Ryan and Sadie went to the hospital this morning to meet Gracyn. Sadie said, "Baby Cry!" when I asked her how the baby was. She also claimed she hit the baby and pulled her hair. Wouldn't surprise me, but I think she was fibbing. I went to work early to get my ducks in a row. I have to do sub plans for Friday (going to Mackinac Island this weekend), and I am being observed Wednesday so I had to fill out a pre-observation form to meet with my principal. Tonight we went to O'Charley's. Another good deal to add to our list- kids eat FREE on Monday nights. They served a lot more food in their kids' meals than Logan's so Cobe got filled up. He usually has to eat his, some of mine, Brooks' and Sadie's to be full at Logan's. Tonight he had to just eat his and some of Sadie's to be full. It was totally free- drink and all, no strings attached. I got a salad and Ryan got ribs and shrimp, so the cost was about even with Logan's when it was all said and done. Good food! Then Cobe and I went to BSF. It was like pulling teeth to get him to go tonight, but he said he was glad he did. He enjoyed it. Now to remind him of that next week when he doesn't want to go again... I understand his feelings though. I know I'll be fine once I get there, but I do try to come up with all sorts of reasons to skip sometimes. I always am glad that I went though. We are studying Matthew this year and it is very applicable to my life.

Tomorrow Baby Elliot is coming over in the morning and so is Maya. So the kids will be entertained- yay! Then I will go to work and then head off shopping with Lynette. Fun time- just us girls and no kids!!!! Looking forward to it! Wednesday night is church, which reminds me that I haven't even looked at the lesson I need to teach. Better get on that soon. Thursday night will be packing for Mackinac and maybe swimming in the afternoon if we have time, right Lisa? Maybe you'll finally comment if I ask you a question. Haha Friday a.m. bright and early we'll head up north to enjoy a family weekend away. I can't wait!!!! We love going to the island. The Boeves are actually joining us this year, and they are newcomers- I can't wait to show them around! Lisa went a long time ago (when she was 12 or so), but Boeve and the girls have never been. I hope the weather cooperates. We need sunshine!

Off to catch The Bachelor and The Hills. I have to flip back and forth between the two for the first half hour. Emily- don't forget to watch!!!! Happy week everyone!

You crack me up. I thought I heard something about 'low-key' somewhere in the beginning but your schedule of things you've done and plan to do this week had my head spinning. I don't know how you do it all. I had to laugh at your comment about Sadie hitting Gracyn and pulling her hair. I happened to hear the real story of where that came from tonight at the hospital and from what i gather she never did end up doing either but she did ask Ryan if she could on the way up the hospital hall to their room. Apparently with hand motions to demonstrate. Too funny. :) At least she asked. :) Sounds like another warm weekend ahead so hopefully you guys will have great weather. Maybe get to see a little color too. Have fun! :)

Here is the much anticipated comment from Lisa. We are planning on going swimming. The kids would love to and Maya asked about going to MiMi the other day. I hope I didn't disappoint with my exciting comment. :)

You and your family sound so busy - yet happy. Awesome! How fun to go to Mackinac in the fall. What's it like at that time of year. Still filled with tourists? Where do you guys like to stay?
I like the crab idea. Funny I was just answering book questions at work yesterday on the topic of sex education for tweens. So now my brain is going. and I bought some books already for Presley. Yes, I'm weird! LOL
