We had such a great weekend at the island. We left Friday morning at 7, got to Mackinac City around 11:00. We ate lunch in the city and then got ferry tickets and headed over to the island. We couldn't check in our room until 3:00, so we all hopped on our bikes and went on a long ride around the island stopping to take pictures and see the sights. Everyone had to potty so around 2:30, we went to our hotel and they let us check in. We went to the rooms and got our suits on to swim. We swam while Sadie napped for awhile, and then went to dinner at Horn's. We took the kids back and put them to bed (they were whipped after getting up at 6:30am to go), and the adults hung out in the lobby. Saturday morning, we just had breakfast that we had brought with us , and then we headed off on our bikes again. After a bike ride, the guys took the kids to the Fort to tour it, and Lisa and I headed to the hotel so Sadie could nap. We met them at a pizza place when she woke up and had a very late lunch. Then Brooks and Ryan went back to the hotel so Brooks could sleep and the other kids and Lisa and I went to the school to play on the playground. We hit some shops and bought a few trinkets after that and then headed to the hotel pool for hours of swimming. The kids headed to bed around 9, and the adults hit the hotel lobby again. This morning, we went out to brunch at an Irish Pub, went to the school to play, and then headed back to the ferry. It was such a great weekend- the kids were awesome- all 5 of them! The weather was pretty good- warm , but humid. It rained at night, but cleared up each morning and stayed dry all day (even though Boeve insisted on buying ponchos-haha) Ryan and I went last year in October as well, and so far, it has turned out to be a perfect time of year to go weather-wise. Well, I am off to do yet another load of laundry. Have a great week!

looks like a lot of fun. I love the family pic that you couldn't turn. glad you all got a nice getaway and with the kids. isn't great when everyone gets along - even the weather! LOL glad you're back safely.
