Not out of the woods yet
I guess I spoke too soon. I felt okay for awhile this morning, cleaned, ran some errands, and then my fever returned and I haven't felt good since. Of course I had to clean off and on all day, and then we ended up rescheduling the showing to next week for a variety of reasons. Ryan came home not feeling the greatest either. He just sounds hoarse, but says he doesn't feel like I do. He can't tell if it his allergies or something else at this point. Brooks and Cobe are TORN UP with their allergies. Poor things- all the allergy medicine seems to do is put Brooks to sleep. They are really suffering bad this year. I hope since they are seasonal, the "season" ends soon whatever that may be. Well, I have a spotless house which is nice since I'll be spending lots of time in it getting well. :-) Hope this mess is gone when I wake up tomorrow. Ryan works again tomorrow but has an extra day off on Sunday. It would be nice to be well to enjoy his day off together. Have a good one!
Out of Commission
I have been sick since my last post. I think the busyness of the last 2 weeks finally caught up with me. I worked for 2 days, which I enjoyed and felt fine while there. At night and in the mornings, I couldn't shake a headache, stomachache, etc. Last night, I couldn't function, so I went to bed at 5:30. I had a high fever, aches, pains, etc. So much so that I knew I had the flu. I had no idea how I would function today while Ryan was at work. God is good! I feel so much better this morning. I am not 100%, but all that is really lingering is a headache. My fever broke sometime during the night. I missed Jake Onstott's birthday party because of being sick, but Ryan took the kids which was nice- I had a quiet house. They had a great time. So, today will be spent cleaning (for a showing). I hope the sickness is behind me and that no one else gets it right here before school starts. Hope everyone has a great Labor Day weekend!

Back to Work
Well folks- tomorrow I start a new school year. Even though it is 10:13 the night before I begin, it still hasn't hit me nor does it seem real that I have to go to work tomorrow. I don't know what it is or what is different about this year. I am sure as soon as my alarm sounds, it will feel real. :-) Normally, I work from 12:42 until 2:45 each day. But tomorrow and Thursday are in-service days for teachers only, so I work from 8:30-3:00 both days. I hope to have some time to be in my classroom, but I am pretty much ready for the kids since I went in last week some. Tomorrow and Thursday will consist mainly of meetings. The students are invited to come meet their teachers tomorrow from 1-3 so I will be in my room then to be available to any kid/parent who wants to stop in. We have never done this before, so I'm curious to see how well attended it will be. As soon as I get home tomorrow afternoon, Ryan will head up to the cottage to bring the few big things that we need home.
We hit the pool again this afternoon- just us and Cobe's friend Mark. We had the pool to ourselves like always. Then we came home and got ready to go to Logan's to eat once again. I finally got to meet Mary Maly who I hear so many good things about from friends (one being her stepdaughter). She is as nice as everyone says! Hi Mary! :-) Now you have to comment since you said you read this! :-)
I better hit the sack since I was already exhausted today- need my beauty sleep (desperately!)

Pool Day Pictures
Well, we cleaned out the cottage in record time. Lisa and I really had fun cleaning it out. We threw out stuff, packed both of our vans to the hilt, and were back home by 5:00 or so. The kids had a ton of fun at their Aunt Amanda's and grandparents' house all day so it was good knowing that they were well taken care of while we slaved away. ;-) Ryan, Kyle and Jim are going up Wednesday evening with a trailer to hopefully get all the big stuff, and we just got word that we close Sept. 5th! Quick process! I thought I would be a tad bit sad to leave yesterday knowing I"d never see the place again, but not so much! We did have some great times there with family and friends, but we already have some trips planned that we otherwise couldn't afford if we didn't sell it. So I think financially, we'll be able to do more of a variety of stuff together as a family. The boys weren't sad either which did surprise me.
Today, we had fun at the pool. The kids all got along great and the weather was perfect for a pool day. It is such a nice pool/area- when the kids needed a break from swimming, they played basketball on the court or played at the playground. I can't wait to move there! Maybe we are on a roll....now we can focus our time, energy, and money into selling this house.
The boys in the "hood" = Brooks, Collin, Landon, Cobe, Justin and 1/2 of Jake
Elliot enjoying the chilly water. And a pair of sexy legs- whose could those be??????
Bailey- the bathing beauty!
"Aunt Jenny" (as Sadie calls her), Joshie and Sadie chilling by the pool.

Brooksie contemplating or resting or pouting by the pool. :-)

Quick Post
I am heading to bed to get some rest for a busy day tomorrow. Had a fun day today- just hung out with friends/neighbors all day, and the kids were entertained and ready for bed tonight. Up tomorrow early to head to the cottage to clean out our personal belongings. We sold it furnished so we only have 2 pieces of furniture to move out, but we have to get all of our personal stuff out. I feel like tomorrow is my only day to go do it, so Amanda and Mary Jo are splitting watching the kids (thanks so much to both of you!!!!!), and Lisa is going with me to help me pack up/haul stuff back (thanks so much to you!!!!) The realtor said the people could be ready to close already by the end of the week!!! So not much time to get stuff out. Ryan will have to go up later with a truck/trailer to get the furniture. I am feeling pretty stressed having to do all this without Ryan to help/make decisions, but I am so thankful that we are selling it. Hope everyone has a nice Sunday!
Girls Just Wanna Have Fun
I seriously can have so much fun with Sadie. She has turned the corner in the last few weeks from a needy baby into a pleasant, independent little girl. She can play for the longest time right by herself . Her favorite past time is her purse and sunglasses. She goes bye bye and goes off into another room to rifle through her purse at all the little trinkets in there. Her next favorite is books! She will sit in her bed or on the floor of her room and look at books for an hour or more while listening to her CD player. I'll listen in on her and she will be "reading" to herself. She also loves pushing her baby in the stroller, talking on the phone, hiding, and she has a thing for this prayer bear that we have that says the "Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep" prayer. Today, she had to have a hat on and entertained herself on the couch with that hat on for the longest time. I had to take some pictures of her- she cracked me up at how much fun she can have with the simplest things. I can't wait to watch Miss Independent grow up. She brings so much joy to our family. Love you Sadie Claire!!!!!!!

Good News!!!
We have an offer on our cottage! YES! It has been on the market for a year and a month, so it is about time! We recently lowered the price and that really started the interest. The offer was faxed to me this morning and I counter-offered. So we'll see... it has been hard to do with Ryan out of town and hard to reach, but the offer was close to what we wanted, so we had already talked about the details before he left. These people had been through twice before he ever left, and our realtor felt like they would make an offer. It has been a pain today though because my email is down and the realtor had emailed me the offer. So I went to work- still couldn't access the account b/c the whole server is down. So I had him fax it to the Boeves. Lisa and I couldn't figure out how to fax back the counteroffer so we had to wait until Boeve could come home and do it. So it was time consuming! Now I'll just wait until the buyers receive our offer and see how it goes from there. Someone else may be interested and another realtor is showing it tomorrow as well, but I hope this one goes through. They want to close within 14 days of the initial contract!!!! We'll have to bust our buns to get our stuff out, but it will be nice to only have one more payment. So excited!!!!! 1 down, 1 more to go! :-)
And my wonderful husband surprised me with a flower delivery today. He must have set them up to be delivered before he left because he had written the card himself. It was a sweet card and the flowers are beautiful as you can see! He knew I'd be stressed taking care of the kids by myself while he was out-of-town, so he sent them as a surprise. Thanks honey!

I have two kids sleeping and one prowling the neighborhood so I am off to enjoy some quiet time!

3rd Post in One Day...
Can you tell R is out of town? I have time on my hands (I know I post a lot anyway, but 3 times in one day???) We had a very fun day, so I have a lot to post about. As you can see from the previous fair post, we had good weather to go. We got there around 12:30 and looked at some exhibits since the rides didn't open until 1:00. After that, we bought wrist bands, and the kids went to it. They probably rode 20 rides making the wrist bands well worth the money. We came home, had some mac-n-cheese and headed downtown to the street performers with Lynette and 2 of her 3 kids. Not many performers showed up, so we checked out the 2 that we saw, went to the candy store, bought out the store and headed to the bookstore to play (it started to rain). Lynette and I got to catch up talking and the kids had fun so it was a hit even though we didn't get to see the break dancers that the boys wanted to see. Tomorrow morning we will most likely hit the pool (I tried to email folks to join us, so please come!). We may hit Target after Sadie's nap because Nana sent the boys gift cards to do some back-to-school shopping. GO NANA!!!!! I am sure they will think toys and Pokemon cards qualify as back to school items, but I will make sure to steer them to clothes/school supplies! :-) Below are some pictures from our night downtown with Lynette.
Good ole Brooks- always comes through with his standard finger-up-the-nose pose. Way to impress Bailey! I was glad he was in as good as spirits as he was. His allergies are HORRIBLE and I thought for sure he was going to crash on the couch before we could even make it downtown. He got a second wind at some point. (Maybe a sugar rush from all the candy????)
Elliot and Sadie- You have to check out Lynette's blog and see the video of E crying. Sadie saw it and asked to watch it over and over and over. She kept saying, "Baby- sore tummy." She thought that is why he was screaming. She then proceeded to mimic him and then would climb back up in the chair and try to push buttons to get that video back on the computer. Of course, Elliott was as good as gold tonight!
The kids watching a folk-type band (the only performers we really took the time to seek out and listen to)
When it rained, we went into Treehouse Books and let the kids play. This is them with Puddles the bunny.
And here they are with a chinchilla (sp?) I can't remember his name- he was a rat-looking thing. They have a neat aquarium in there too, plus some toys and a bridge. The kids probably could have stayed there all night.
I'm sure I'll be back tomorrow to post again (and you doubted that???)! :-)

Thursday
Ella seemed fine yesterday and was quite proud of her battle wound. She and Brooks played yesterday morning, so I guess all has been forgiven. :-) That Ella- she is such a cutie and quite grown up for 3! Ryan said that the whole time they were "fixing" her up at the hospital, she constantly talked about Sadie. Those girls do love each other!
Yesterday's heat shocked me! I was used to the cooler/no humidity days that we had been having. The heat returned with a vengeance yesterday. In the morning, we ran to Target, Meijer's and Bumblebee's to search for soccer cleats, school supplies and a birthday present for Jake Onstott. Julie is having us over Thursday night to celebrate his birthday- he will be 6. We got some cleats just so Cobe would have some that fit, but he has such a wide foot, that I am sure he'll claim they don't fit come Monday night when he has to put them on for his first practice. All of the cleats do seem to be very narrow in fit. Of course, I am not willing to buy expensive ones because he has needed a new pair every season, as well as a new pair of cleats each baseball season, so we own quite a few pair of cleats in multiple sizes. I hope I won't ever have to buy a pair for Brooks when he starts sports next year.
Chase came over when we got home from running errands, and after Sadie's SHORT nap, we headed to the pool. Sadie does much better when she goes down for her nap at 11:00. She always sleeps for 3 hours. But we were gone, so I put her down at 12:30 and she was still awake by 2:00. She was a bear at the pool. After we got home, I laid her down again around 4:00, and she slept until 6:45!!!! So I knew she was still tired.
Brooks and Cobe had some kind of allergic reaction to the chlorine. Brooks came home and immediately, his eyes swelled shut. He cried and cried and could barely open his eyes. I put Visine in, helped him take a shower to wash off the chlorine, put a cool washcloth over his eyes, and he slept until 9:45 last night before waking up. He stayed up for an hour or so and went back to bed. Cobe's reaction wasn't quite as strong, but his eyes were puffy and really red. The chlorine didn't effect me, Sadie or Chase, so I assume it was because both boys already suffer from allergies?????
Chase and Cobe hung out playing gameboys and trading Pokemon cards because it started storming. Ryan called a few times for me to check the radar because they were driving up north right in the eye of the storm it seemed. I talked to him around 11, and he said they were finally out of it and had been for a little while. So it was a very quiet night. I expected to wake up during the night since other storms were predicted all night, but if they came, I slept right through them. I could tell it had rained though.
Today we have the fair and the street performers on the agenda. So far it doesn't look very promising weather-wise. Still raining. We'll have to see!

A Disasterous Night
Oh where to begin... we actually had a great, fun, yummy dinner at Logan's. Well worth the $20 to feed the entire family. We saw lots of people we knew and it was busy, so everyone must appreciate the Mon.-Tues. night deal they have going on. I hope that lasts all winter- it could become a Tuesday night ritual for us. We came home and the boys immediately went next door b/c Jake and Ella were outside golfing with Jason. This is where disaster struck. I HATE it when my kid causes the accident. I can deal a lot better for some reason when someone else's kid causes the accident to my kid. Accidents happen, right? I know that, but you still feel horrible when your kid hurts someone else's. Brooks was swinging the club to hit the ball, and hit Ella smack in the back of the head. Long story short, Ryan drove Jason and Ella to the emergency room and she ended up with staples in her head. Julie was at a church meeting, so Jake stayed with us at our house. Ella was EXTREMELY brave they all said, but still.... I feel like a heel. Julie and Jason are SUCH great friends and they handle stuff like this so well, but still.... I feel so bad for Ella Pearl. Jason was just as worried about Brooks thinking he was mad at him as he was his own daughter's safety. Brooks seemed to be in a fog about the whole thing. He cried right at first and said, "I said I'm sorry mom." Then he just seemed dazed. They came over when they got home from the hospital to get Jake and so the boys could see that Ella was fine. She is one brave little girl. I guess it could have been a lot worse, but still... it was bad enough. We sat and counted up how many times we have been there when the Onstott kids have had to go to the hospital... Ryan drove Jake to the emergency room in NC when they vacationed with us b/c he had a seizure, Jake broke his arm when a babysitter was there, so Ryan and I went over to call Julie/Jason home and we kept Ella that night, and Jake has also had staples in his head (can't remember if we kept Ella then or not). Anyway, they have gotten a speedpass to the local emergency room. Let's hope they are done with accidents! (especially caused by one of mine). I praise God that Ella is okay and that God blesses us daily. Don't forget to tell your loved ones when you read this how much you do love them. Accidents make you think...

Looking forward to the rest of the week
Okay, I am now looking forward to the rest of the week because now I have plans while Ryan is gone! Tonight we are going to hit Logan's for their awesome Tuesday night deal- 2 meals for $12.99 and $2.00 kid meals. Poor Sadie- we aren't taking her, but we really can't enjoy a meal at a restaurant when she is with us. She isn't a great age for that. The boys have always been so good at restaurants, but God broke the mold when he made Sadie in more ways than 1 !!!! So we'll enjoy a family night out minus one on Ryan's last night home. He has to work all day tomorrow and then they are heading north to Brimley around 8pm tomorrow night. I told Cobe he could have a friend spend the night Wed. night. Thursday, (if the weather cooperates) we are heading to the Hudsonville Fair (once again without Sadie). The boys LOVE to ride rides, so we are going to get $15 armbands and they can ride until their hearts are content from 1-6. We are meeting some friends (Boeves and Groetenhuis's) there so all the kids can ride together. (We were going to try and go today, but the rides were a dollar each and you can't get armbands today and I know my boys will ride more than 15 rides, so we are waiting for the armband deal). Thursday night, we are meeting Lynette and her kids downtown Holland for the street performers. We haven't been at all this summer so I am excited about going- once again, the weather HAS to cooperate.
Friday night, my SIL Amanda is having a dig-scrap/hanging out gathering with some girlfriends. So I am trying to hunt down a sitter for that so I can join them for pizza and hopefully to finally make a banner for my blog- my first attempt at any scrapping. And a night out without the kids would be nice! Saturday night some friends are hitting Saugatuck with their husbands and invited us. Since Ryan was going to be gone, I declined. They still want me to go, so Julie (Jason will be gone as well out of town) and I may join them there. But once again, that involves getting a sitter. But at least I have a few choices of some fun stuff to do while Ryan is gone.
I got my hair cut and highlighted last night- love the color and the cut. It is my "back to school" haircut! The boys all lined up on the deck this morning for theirs. I cut Ryan's and then he cut Brooks' and Cobe's. I'll have to post pics later of all of our new do's.
Right now Ryan is getting the oil changed in my van, so I am going to go for a walk with the kids to feed the donkeys. Adious!

Not A Whole Lot Going On
Saturday we ended up meeting Lisa and her girls at the park in the morning. The kids played for awhile and then we headed home for Sadie to nap. We played outside while Sadie napped, tried to go on a bike ride when she woke up, but we all had flat tires. So we circled the neighborhood and headed back home. We cooked burgers when Ryan got home, and then I headed to Meijer's grocery shopping. Ryan (and me at one point) was supposed to go to the race at MIS Sunday, but Sunday morning decided against it knowing it would be postponed due to weather. Sure enough- it was postponed until today, which I am sure it will be postponed again until tomorrow. This rain is out of control! It is supposed to rain tomorrow as well, so we'll see. Sunday we went to church and then MJ and J had the boys for the afternoon. Sadie napped for awhile so I cooked/baked. I made brownies and made enchiladas- so yummy! (Ryan decided to work and save the vacation day since the race was canceled). The boys came home and Cobe went to Mark's for the evening. We finally summoned him home around 9 after I watched Big Brother. Not much exciting happened during that episode. The Sunday night ones are my least favorite. Today, Ryan got up and made me eggs and sausage and the kids waffles and I am still sitting in my pjs. It is a great morning for that. Ryan has SWAT training from noon to 6:00 so he'll be gone AGAIN!!! I feel like he has been gone a ton lately and he leaves Wed. for a trip up north with some cops and his brother until Sunday. I wish the weather were nicer, then I feel like the kids and I would have more to do. We are going to hit the Hudsonville fair one of these days. It was going to be today, but not with this weather. We'll postpone until it finally stops raining. Anyone know where to get coupons for the armbands at the fair????

A Kodak Moment
Oh my! Brooks has always been our little sleeper. From the time he was born, he has loved to sleep. He would sleep all night and all day. Little did we know that he suffered from severe anemia and had no energy to do anything. After discovering this by accident (he had a seizure and ended up being hospitalized for a few days because his anemia was so bad), he has been treated and doesn't suffer from it anymore. However, he is still one who likes/needs his sleep. Even at 4 1/2, he either takes a nap or hits the sack pretty early at night. So, I got caught up watching Big Brother and talking to my mom on the phone, and Brooks and Cobe went up to brush their teeth. Cobe came back down and Brooks never did. I assumed he had gone in our bedroom to lie down with Ryan. Cobe went up during a commercial and told me I had to go look at Brooks- he had fallen asleep on the bathroom floor waiting for someone to help him brush his teeth. I laughed so hard! He is capable of brushing his own teeth, so I think he must have just been exhausted and decided the floor was as good as his bed.
Here he is on the floor- see his toothbrush? At least he attempted to brush.
We decided to have some fun with him. Ryan tried to stick the toothbrush in his mouth. He kept wiping his mouth and then he stood right up and tried to climb up the wall. He never even woke up. Ryan kept asking him if he thought he was Spiderman. Finally I took mercy on him and carried him to bed and tucked him in. My sweet, precious, little boy was whipped!

On the Upswing
Sadie has finally turned the corner. I hated to leave today, but felt like I had to get in my classroom and get some things done. So, I got up at went in to work at 7:45 this morning, worked for 4 hours and got a ton accomplished. Ryan called at one point to say how much better she was feeling. I am back home after dropping my phone off to be switched over to a new one- FREE! You can't beat that. It is a really nice phone so I was glad to get in on a deal. I need to go pick it up. Hopefully we can do something fun this afternoon and weekend since Sadie is better. I feel like I have been couped up for days. This weather is awesome too- just sitting by the open front door feeling the cool breeze. Off to get my new phone (same number)!

Poor Sis!
Sis did not do well at all during the night. I was so thankful that we had stayed here b/c I actually contemplated taking her to the emergency room. Her breathing was super quick and shallow and her heartbeat was so fast. I called Ryan to get his advice at 4:30, and he thought I could probably wait until the Dr.'s office opened this morning. I took her in, and she has strep throat. The Dr. first thought it was foot, hand, mouth disease and said it was viral and we'd have to wait it out. She did a strep test just to make sure, and it was positive right away. The good thing is at least she got put on an antibiotic rather than her having to wait out a virus. Poor little girl- she didn't sleep most of the night (neither did I), so she is back in bed. Her equilibrium must be off too because every corner I turned on the way and on the way home from the Dr., she thought she was going to fall out of her carseat. It was so cute because she would grab on to her seat and look at me with her big ole eyes and make a WHOOOOAAAHHH sound. I felt so bad for her, but it was cracking me up.
I have to go get a new cell phone today. I hope they have a cheap one. Mine is totally on the fritz. It turns off in mid-conversation for no reason. Ryan and the boys are on their way home from the cottage after cleaning up the yard and having a good time together. When he gets home, he is going to run his Sea-Doo to Adam's work to be fixed and then hopefully, I can leave to get a new phone.
Can't tell what this weather is going to do today. Pretty crummy start with all the fog. Hopefully it will burn off and turn into a nice day. Enjoy!

Day 2 of the Sickies
Sadie woke again this morning with a fever. It never broke yesterday, even with medicine. She got up at 7:45, had some juice and went back to bed. She got up around 10, had some cereal and some Motrin and went back to bed. We were all heading up to the cottage tonight, but now Ryan may just go with the boys. I feel like she would be more comfortable in her own crib. Jen invited the boys to her house this afternoon, so that works out good. It looks like it will pour down any minute, so I am glad they will be entertained rather than being holed up inside all afternoon. We have yet another showing at the cottage tomorrow. Let's hope this is the one!!!! The realtor said someone was showing it between 11-12:30, so Ryan is going to mow quickly and come home or at least take the boys to the park while they are there. I need to get in my classroom to work, so I am going to do that Thursday. I always dread it, but usually once I get there, I enjoy getting ready for the new school year. Sadie is crying, so I gotta run. Ciao!

Not the Day I Expected
Well.... Sadie is sick. I was counting my blessings this morning when she slept in so late. Finally at 9:45, I went in and got her up, and she was burning up. Poor thing. She stayed up for about 30 minutes, took Motrin, drank some juice, ate some breakfast and went back to bed. She just got up again at 1:45, took Tylenol, drank some juice, took a cool bath, and is now back in bed. She has no other symptoms besides a fever. We had planned on having a leisurely morning, going to the library, and going to Grandville mall to exchange jeans for Cobe, but no such luck. Please pray that she is better soon. My friend Selena needs prayers(for her father) as well as my friend Lynette (for her grandpa).

Craig's Cruisers
We need a rest after our long, busy weekend! Friday night, we went to Crestview Golf Course for a party and had a blast!!!! We stayed out way too late though for as early as we had to be up the next morning. The Costello Brothers' band played and we danced and had a really great time hanging out with friends we see quite a bit as well as friends we hadn't seen in a long time. Saturday was Ryan's family day (see previous posts- breakfast, zoo and pool), and we really enjoyed all of those activities as well. Today we went to the Ottawa County Sheriff's Dept. party at Craig's Cruisers. We each got a wristband that allowed us to do any/all activities from 1-3. They also had 2 big inflatable jump arounds for the little kids, which Sadie tried out right when we got there. First we headed right to the go-carts and the boys had a blast riding those. Neither one of them was big enough to ride by themselves, so Brooks and I went and Cobe and Ryan went. Brooks wanted to go with Ryan too (of course riding with mom isn't nearly as good as riding with dad, even though I passed two cars to WIN the race !!!!) , so while they did that, I took Cobe to the kiddie-carts so he could ride in one of those by himself. Poor Sadie wasn't big enough to do anything! After the go-carts, we got ABSOLUTELY drenched on the bumper boats. Ryan and Cobe were in one, and Brooks and I went in another. We drenched each other with the squirters on the boat. I honestly was dripping from head to toe- hair completely wet. Nice to walk around for the rest of the day looking like a drowned rat! It was refreshing though since it was a blasted hot day. After that, we went to the food tent. They had cooked their own food: hot dogs, barbeque chicken, potato salad, slaw, chips, beans, rolls . It was a yummy lunch! After we ate, we played a round of miniature golf- the only thing Sadie was able to do, but of course she did nothing but pick up everyone's ball, go in the water, get in everyone's way. Oh well- maybe next year she'll be old enough to race go-carts. We are whipped and need this week to wind down and rest from the weekend . Below are a few pictures from today.
Ryan and Cobe in the Junior Mobile!!!!!
Cobe on the Kiddie Carts- he was whipping the other little girl's butt! :-)
Brooks and Ryan coming back to the finish line.
The boys after getting drenched on the boats- they thought they were cool with spiked hair-dos.
Ryan and Cobe out on the course.
The Pool
We had a great time last night at Knollwood pool. We all met back up at 4:30 for swimming. We had a great dinner under the pavilion too. Here are a few pictures from the pool outing.
Jim, Cobe, Brooks and Braelyn
Sadie drying off in her "towlie" after swimming.
Selah putting on her swimmies to go in- Sadie kept stealing them from her.
BIG JUMP! for Cobe
After swimming, we had cake for Mary Jo's birthday under the pavilion. Look at those little kids watching her cut that cake- they could hardly wait!!!!

The Zoo
Just a few pics from our family day so far. We went to breakfast at the Rainbow Grill in Hudsonville- delicious!!!! Then we headed to GR for the zoo. The kids had a blast. It was hot, but fun. We all came home to nap and then we are off to the pool for the evening/dinner.
Jim took the kids in to the skate/shark tank so they could touch them. They have a nurse shark there and lots of skates. I think they all touched a skate, but could never get close to the shark.
Kissing cousins- aren't they cute????? I finally captured Sadie and Selah kissing.
Selah, Braelyn, Brooks, Sadie and Cobe in with the pygmy goats. They were so little and very soft. There was one goat named Reese (Selah's middle name).
Joshy boy and Sadie on the play train.
Cobe on top of the train. I took a lot more pics, but am too lazy to post any more right now. I'll do another post tomorrow of pool pics from tonight and pics from Craig's Cruisers tomorrow. Enjoy the rest of the weekend! (Look at previous post for Cobe's camp pics.)
