We never did get a snow day on Friday like we should have. I shoveled the driveway 4 times just to keep up and I know there was at least 3-4 inches of new snow each time I shoveled. But of course, it stopped right when school was getting out anyway. Oh well- it's done and over with now.
Presley was supposed to come over Friday morning, but we had to postpone b/c Sadie was running a fever Thursday night. She has had a horrible cough and runny nose for a few days now. I thought she'd have a fever when she woke up Friday morning, but she didn't seem to. It did come back Friday night though, and she didn't feel well again. She was fine during the day yesterday and has been fine today as well, so we'll see if it comes back tonight.
We went to Chuck E Cheese yesterday afternoon with the Boeve girls and let the kids play some video games and eat pizza. Ryan went to GR to the Kid Rock concert and had to work all day yesterday, so he wasn't around. They are having a Kid Fun Night every Friday night at Westshore Mall, so after C.C.'s, we went out in the mall. There were singers, face painting, a clown making balloon animals, and 94.5 radio station was set up. The kids got their faces painted, but Sadie felt so bad at that point, that we didn't stay long. The kids all crashed when we got home.
This morning, we went to Landon's basketball game. Wow! He is such a great player. He dominated the court when it was his 1/2 of the quarter to play. I was very impressed as was Cobe. Cobe sat glued to the court, and as we left, immediately started asking if we could go home and play basketball. Hard to do when there is feet of snow on top of our b-ball goal and ice in the driveway. :-) So he settled for playing out in the snow with Brooks and Mark. The three of them played together all afternoon and ended up at the Elgersma's for most of the day. I left right after the game to go shopping and out to lunch with Lisa. We hit the mall ( I got a $180 coat for $44.50 and a $29 pair of jeans for $14.50), Crazy Horse for lunch, Meijer's, Target, and Walgreen's. The only other thing I got besides the coat, jeans and groceries was a sweater at Target. 3 things for myself??? Unheard of! Nothing for Ryan or the kids. Pretty productive shopping trip! I was mad because I wanted to get some more black frames, a camera bag, and some lamps, but was unsuccessful on all three of those missions.
I made a chicken casserole for dinner and now since we have eaten, we are running to the Hains' to drop something off. Cobe got picked up by Chase and his dad to go play video games, so we need to go get him as well after that. Ta-ta!
