Monday

This picture has horrible lighting, but Cobe and Sadie were having so much fun playing together that I had to get a pic. Rarely is Cobe home enough to play with his sister, so it is usually Sadie and Brooks all day. But tonight, in between friends, Cobe came home and had a blast playing/wrestling with Sadie.
Cobe and Sadie wrestling- she can hold her own against her big bro.

Today was weird. I had totally planned on going to bible study, but Ryan called at 5:15 and said he was on the scene of a fatal crash and would be late. He got home way too late for me to make it. I was bummed, not only because I missed it, but because I had to clean, straighten up, stash stuff AGAIN because we have a showing tomorrow night. I am sure it will amount to nothing as all the other ones have, so it is getting really old to repeat the same scene over and over. I talked to a lady in our subdivision tonight that just took their house off the market after 8 months and she said they had only had 2 showings the whole entire 8 months. We at least have had a ton of showings. But I don't know which is worse- we haven't sold it even after all the showings!!!!! It isn't even the cleaning I mind, it is the stashing of the ordinary day to day stuff I use and for some reason, isn't acceptable to leave out according to our realtor.

Anyway, I wish I had gotten a picture of messy britches tonight, but I was too busy cleaning her to remember to get a picture. Julie and I were out with the kids in the sandbox, and Sadie was very sweetly filling up a bucket with sand. Brooks was on the swing so I was watching him and my back was to her. All of a sudden I hear Julie say, "No Sadie!" She had opened her mouth, tilted her head back, and dumped the bucket of sand down her throat. Yum!!!! It didn't seem to phase her at all. Her mouth (and hair and clothes and body) was full of sand. I stripped her down and brushed her off and brought her in the house. I kept giving her glasses of water and she just drank all the sand down. I scraped as much as I could out of her mouth first, but it never seemed to bother her that she was drinking gritty sand. She is a wreck!

Brooks crashed around 6:15 tonight and Sadie crashed around 6:30 and Cobe was at the Elgersma's so I had a very quiet night since Ryan was still at work. I am off to finish watching the Bachelor. Hopefully I can post soon that these people LOVED our house and want to pay us double what we are asking!!!!haha

Good luck with the house showing!!! It would be such a blessing for you guys to sell the cottage or house! Sadie Sadie Sadie - that girl is something else. Sand on kids either bugs them or they seem to not even notice it - LOL! Have a good day!
