To answer your comments, City Vu was delicious and a great evening out! We had been told by several people to not expect much food, but we had way more than we could eat. We got an appetizer and drinks to start, and the appetizer would have been plenty for our whole meal. They called it a quesadilla, but it did not resemble a quesadilla in the least. It was excellent though. Then we each got a flatbread- Carolina pulled-pork and slaw for Ryan and Wild Mushroom Ragout with Boursin cheese for me- YUMMY!!! We both loved our meals, but brought just as much home as we ate. They have a specialty drink called "Two Weeks Vacation" and it was great- I'd go back for that alone. We had good conversation and a table by the window which would have provided a superb view....if it weren't for the white-out conditions. :-) All we could see was white snow. It really was a perfect evening out- without kids being the best part. ;-)
Ryan got called out this a.m. for a CRT call, so that cut our childless time short. I got up and shoveled, shoveled and shoveled some more after he left. Whew! Our front porch and front walkways were covered in several feet of snow, so I had my work cut out for me. I never even got the driveway finished b/c the front area took me so long. My arms are STILL shaky from shoveling earlier. Ryan hurt his back during his call-out, so he won't be contributing to the shoveling anytime soon.
We went to Ryan's moms for lunch and to retrieve the kids- they had a great night with their grandparents and even got to go to Russ' for dinner last night. Kyle and Amanda and their girls were there too, so the kids all played and had fun while the gals planned our family Christmas parties which are RIGHT around the corner! One Saturday night and one Tuesday night-hard to believe Christmas is here!!!!

Sounds yummy! The drink especially, but all drinks sound good right now, absence really does make the heart grow fonder!
You are amazing to shovel that much. The little bit of snow we get here and I still complain about shoveling our driveway.
Sorry to hear about Ryan's back. That is not fun when men are hurt. They are down and out much longer than women are! And shoveling does stink! We have a puny snowblower, but I shovel because the snowblower exhaust smells horribly like gas and I don't want those particles going into my lungs and causing cancer! John doesn't care and uses the snow blower! I say better sore from shoveling than having cancer in my lungs.
So glad you enjoyed your night out at City Vu, I've heard it's great. Good for you for shoveling, I don't know that I would have done it!
